Bordeaux striker Fernando Cavenaghi is considering his future at the Ligue 1 club after being used as a bit-part player in Europe this season.

The 25-year-old has managed 11 goals in 19 league appearances this term but was often used as a substitute for Les Girondins in their Champions League campaign, which ended when they finished third in Group A behind Chelsea and Roma.

According to the player's agent, Rodrigo Vilarino, Cavenaghi would be happier elsewhere, with Barclays Premier League outfit Tottenham reportedly monitoring his availability.

"Fernando is disappointed by the lack of continuity he is given in games," Vilarino told France Football. "He struggles to understand the logic of (coach) Laurent Blanc compared to his effectiveness.

"Tottenham have actually made an approach, but there has yet to be a definite offer - for the time being."

Spurs' interest has caught the attention of Cavenaghi, although he is reluctant to leave Bordeaux on bad terms.

"The idea would be to find a solution which satisfies everybody," continued Vilarino. "Bordeaux would pocket a bonus while Fernando would be 'better' treated wherever he signs, but it is not easy."

Cavenaghi joined Bordeaux from Spartak Moscow in 2006 and has scored 28 goals in 51 games.

The Argentinian netted five goals in seven games in the UEFA Cup last season, but failed to score in the Champions League this term after making just three brief appearances.
